
Sergey is a London-based conductor, pianist, and vocal coach working at the highest levels of the international operatic scene. An Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied with Malcolm Martineau, he is currently on the music staff of the Royal Opera House through its prestigious Jette Parker Artists Programme.
He has appeared at many of the world’s leading companies, including Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, La Monnaie, Welsh National Opera, and English Touring Opera, working as conductor, assistant and cover conductor, répétiteur, and vocal coach.
Recent and upcoming highlights include Eugene Onegin and The Tale of Tsar Saltan at Teatro Real, Die Fledermaus at the Grange Festival, and engagements with Finnish National Opera. In summer 2026, he conducts Le Nozze di Figaro at the Mediterranean Opera Festival in Sicily.
He has conducted a nationwide tour of Giulio Cesare for English Touring Opera and assisted on major productions at the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne. As a recitalist, he has appeared at leading festivals including Oxford Lieder Festival, collaborating with distinguished artists such as Joan Rodgers, Justina Gringytė, Nelly Miricioiu, and Sergey Leiferkus.
Deeply committed to the development of emerging artists, Sergey works regularly with leading young artist programs and serves as Vocal Consultant to English Touring Opera’s Music Advisory Board.
