Rachel Hiatt

Rachel Hiatt is an American soprano and music educator from Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education from Oakland University in 2024. She recently participated as a Young Artist at the Taos Opera Institute, where she received intensive training in performance, marketing, and repertoire expansion.She is a 2024 Second Place winner in the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Her operatic roles include Despina in Così fan tutte and the Dew Fairy in Hänsel und Gretel. She is excited to perform Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, as well as Countess Ceprano and Giovanna in Rigoletto, this summer with the Mediterranean Opera Studio Festival. In addition to opera, Rachel is passionate about musical theater and vocal pedagogy and is committed to fostering expressive, healthy singing in both performance and teaching.
