Nia Sier

Nia Sier is an American soprano currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Oklahoma State University, where she studies with Dr. Anné-Marie Condacse. She made her operatic debut as Mabel in Cimarron Opera Company’s 2025 production of The Pirates of Penzance. Her additional operatic credits include Dew Fairy and Mother (Hansel and Gretel), Giulia and Contadine Ensemble (The Gondoliers), and Lucy (The Billy Goats Gruff). She has also performed in opera scenes as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro, Act II Finale), the First Lady (Die Zauberflöte, “Zu Hilfe! Zu Hilfe!”), and Adele (Die Fledermaus, Act II Finale). 

Nia is a 2025 First Place winner in the Oklahoma chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. On campus, she serves as a section leader in the Cantamus Camerata treble chamber ensemble and member of the Concert Chorale mixed ensemble. She is an active member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity and performs with the OSU Aria Society. 

In summer 2024, Nia studied alongside fellow young artists in Vienna, Austria at the Wiener MusikSeminar, where she had the unique opportunity to perform at the birthplace and home of composer Joseph Haydn. This summer, she is excited to continue her international training in Sicily, Italy with the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival. She will portray Barbarina and cover Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), in addition to performing in the ensembles of Don Pasquale and Rigoletto.
