
Marc Verter is a pianist, vocal coach, and song accompanist who performs and teaches internationally. He is currently on staff at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival (Sicily), and the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Artists Programme, and is a visiting coach at the Tel Aviv Music Academy (Buchmann-Mehta School). He also runs a summer vocal program in Cratoule, France, and regularly coaches at major opera and voice festivals across Europe and the UK.
Verter has collaborated with renowned artists including Nelly Miricioiu, Yvonne Kenny, Kate Royal, Claire Booth, and Sol Gabetta, and has performed in festivals throughout Europe, North America, and Israel. His recordings include Songs and Arias with Ilona Domnich (Quartz), Piano Sonatas by Tamara Konstantin (Naxos), Osterwald Lieder by Robert Franz (MPR), and a forthcoming album of songs by Mieczysław Weinberg.
An active researcher, Verter has explored the art song traditions of composers displaced by the Nazi regime and the evolution of the French mélodie. He founded Le Salon Musical, a series recreating 19th-century European salons through song, theatre, and chamber music, presented at venues including the National Portrait Gallery and the French Institute in London.
Born in Israel, Verter holds degrees from Tel Aviv University, Indiana University, and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he studied with Graham Johnson.
