
Felice Venanzoni, a native of Pesaro, Italy—near Rossini’s birthplace—studied in his hometown before launching an international career as conductor, harpsichordist, and coach. He served as Italian coach and harpsichordist for the Salzburg Festival’s production of Don Giovanni and has conducted works such as Teseo, Agrippina, Ariodante, Orlando furioso, L’incoronazione di Poppea, and the complete Monteverdi cycle.
His engagements have taken him to the Semperoper Dresden, Theater Heidelberg, and the rococo theater in Schwetzingen, among others. Since 2009, he has collaborated regularly with conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi in cities including Vienna, Nancy, Paris, Moscow, and Barcelona, and has also worked at the Salzburg Festival as well as in Toronto, Antwerp, and Japan.
Venanzoni joined Oper Frankfurt in 1999 and now serves as Head of Artistic Development for the Opera Studio, guiding the company’s young singers in their professional growth.
