
Camilo is a young American tenor currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Voice and Opera at Northwestern University, where he studies under German tenor Norman Reinhardt. Camilo recently made his operatic debut as Mercury in the Northwestern Undergraduate Opera’s production of Orpheus in the Underworld (Offenbach). While attending high school at Denver School of the Arts, Camilo won the NATS National Student Auditions Competition (2023) and was a national semi-finalist at both the CS Magazine Competition (2024) and the Schmidt Vocal Competition (2025). In the spring of 2026 he will sing in the chorus of Bizet’s Carmen, and Puccini’s La Rondine at the Northwestern Opera Theater. Camilo will perform the roles of Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and Borsa in Rigoletto (Verdi) this summer.
